Transcript text is processed by layered server-side redaction designed to strip personal identifiers before it reaches our AI documentation provider. Student data is governed by FERPA. Student data in our database is encrypted at rest (AES-256). Connections to SPEDScribe are encrypted with TLS 1.2 or higher, and TLS 1.3 with current browsers. The redaction reduces exposure of student identifiers; it is not a guarantee that every identifier is removed.
